ADHD in the UK

We believe the Current System in the UK for ADHD isn’t working

So we are putting together a system that will help individuals to access services that meet their needs, all while giving providers the information they need to deliver coordinated care.

ADHD Pathways in the UK

The Current System

The current ADHD pathway is under increasing pressure with growing demand, limited engagement and fragmented provision across services.

  • Around 4–5% of people in England (approx. 2.5–3.5 million) are estimated to have ADHD
  • Over 550,000 people are currently on NHS waiting lists for assessment
  • Increasing awareness is driving growing demand for ADHD support
  • Limited engagement and support while people wait, often for extended periods
  • The pathway relies on one-off assessments rather than building a picture over time
  • GPs are under pressure and may not always have access to specialist ADHD support
  • The system remains focused on diagnosis, with limited provision for ongoing care
